Joann Frances (Sims) Garcia

Joann Frances (Sims) Garcia, 78, passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2014, born March 8, 1935. She was born in Knoxville, TN and moved to Maryville, TN, where she attended all public schools. She is preceded in death by her parents, James W. Sims, and Ann Lucile (Long) Sims. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Armando (Al) E. Garcia, daughter Susan L. (Garcia) Peterson, husband Charles Peterson and her grandson, Matthew Peterson, granddaughter, Katherine Peterson, granddaughter Caroline Peterson of Maryville, and granddaughter Jessica (Peterson) Turner, husband Adam Turner, and great grandchildren Norah, and Finn Turner of Lenoir City, son Victor Joseph Garcia, and wife Shanie M. Garcia of Jackson, TN. Services will be held 2:00 on Saturday January 18th at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Maryville, TN., followed immediately afterwards by interment and receiving of friends. In lieu of flowers make donations to Saint Andrews Episcopal Church.
