Jewell Beatrice Alexander

February 25, 2002 ALEXANDER, Jewell Beatrice, born October 3, 1921, passed away quietly at her home at 12:15 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2002. She was a graduate of Maryville High School and the University of Tennessee. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church. She was a retired teacher and librarian of Blount County. Jewell was a member of The Chilhowee Club, Eastern Star, where she was a past matron, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and Retired Teachers Association. Jewell was the only child of Gertha Brook Alexander and J. B. Alexander, both deceased. Survivors are cousins, Rena Matthew Huffstetler, Don Matthews, Wilford Matthews all of Maryville and Vesta Willocks Dzura of Quakertown, PA. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sterling Turner, Rev. David Sweitzer and Rev. Jerry Sweitzer officiating. Music will be by Francis Williamson. A private interment will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Grandview Cemetery.
