Jessie Elizabeth Bolton Newman

December 8, 1909 — July 16, 2007

NEWMAN, JESSIE ELIZABETH BOLTON – age 97, passed away peacefully, Monday, July, 16, at Fairpark Healthcare Center in Maryville, Tennessee. She had been a member of St. John United Methodist Church for almost sixty years. She was retired from the Bank of Maryville, a talented artist and an avid bridge player. She was deeply loved by three generations of nieces and nephews and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Rafe Newman, her parents Charlie and Milton Bolton, brothers Alfred and Sam Bolton and sisters Marion and Charlotte Bolton. Survivors include: nephew, Al Bolton and his wife Doris of Lenoir City, and their son Tony, niece, Myrna Carol Bolton Anderson and her husband Don of Chattanooga, and her children Cynthia and Glenn, nephew, Samie Bolton and his wife Bonnie of Chattanooga, and their children Rowena, Kenny and Scott, niece, Sheila Bolton Warren of Seattle and her two sons, and her step-daughter Carole Newman Myers of Louisville, and her two daughters, Marjorie and Billie Jo. Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews and two step-grandchildren. At Jessie’s request, a graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Saturday, July, 21, at 1:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend. The family would like to thank Dr. Jerome Heiny and the staff at Fairpark Healthcare for their excellent care & kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, 2201 E. Broadway Ave., Maryville TN 37804.
