Jesse Ransom Fussell

Jesse Ransom Fussell, age 79 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church and was a teacher of the Senior Adult Class for 18 years. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 26 years, was a retired Master Sergeant, served in Vietnam, a Life Member of VFW Post 5154, Life Member of DAV Post 76-Past Commander, member of American Legion, Air Force Sergeants Association, Past Commander of United Veterans of Blount County, member of Blount County Veterans Affairs Committee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Lee Harelson Fussell; father, Jesse B. Fussell; sister, Annie Lee Fussell Bradshaw; brother, Charles David Fussell. The Fussell family would like to thank the Physicians and Staff of Blount Memorial Hospital, Oncology Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit for the excellent care and emotional support shown to Mr. Fussell and his family. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Bolinger Fussell; son and daughter-in-law, Jesse Allen and Vikki Ann Fussell; daughter and son-in-law, Carmen Fussell Taylor and Allan Odell Taylor all of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Fussell Clark and Albert Clark, Sr. of New Port Ritchie, FL; grandchildren, Dustin Fussell, Allan Taylor, Jr., Emmaline Fussell, Caroline Fussell, Albert Clark, Jr., Allen Clark, Crystal Clark, Chris Webb and Katie Webb. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Witchen and Dr. John Franklin officiating. The entombment will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Sherwood Mausoleum.
