Jennie Evelyn Anderson Blackburn

BLACKBURN, Jennie Evelyn Anderson age 98 of Maryville passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Her husband, John W, Blackburn preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Joe J. Campbell. Grandchildren and her 12 great grandchildren; Lisa, Mike Joseph and John Wilson of Franklin, TN; Nancy, Gene, Elizabeth, Sarah and James Renshaw of Jonesboro, AR; Jane, Rick, Cara, and Caitlin Jones of Madison, AL; Karen, Scott, Steve, and Kristen Holloway of Jonesboro, AR; Mark, Robin, Andrew, Ashley, and Adam Campbell of Louisville, KY; sister, Elizabeth Prather and special care giving nephew, James Prather of Maryville; several loving nieces and nephews and a host of friends whom she loved. Jennie Evelyn’s life was one of faithful service, caring and love for others and for her church, Maryville First United Methodist in which she held numerous positions. She was active in several other organizations, especially dear to her heart was Blount Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of The Daughters of Union Veterans of The Civil War(1861-1865) and a member of The First Families of Tennessee. She was proud to be a life long resident of Blount County, and was blessed with a wonderful mind and loving spirit. A special thanks to her care givers at Colonial Hills nursing Center where she was so happy and loved so many people. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 28, 2005 at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
