Janice Eagleton Taylor

September 23, 1941 — January 23, 2014

Janice Eagleton Taylor, 72, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She inspired her family and those who knew and loved her with her gracious manner and sweet smile, and she will be greatly missed. She was a graduate of Maryville High School class of 1959 and received a bachelors degree in elementary education from the University of Tennessee. She was a lifelong member of New Providence Presbyterian Church and a member of the Church Circle and Presbyterian Women of the Church (PWC). ln addition, she was a member of Chilhowee Club and Wednesday Bridge Club. She and her husband, Stewart, enjoyed extensive travel throughout their retirement years. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, F. Derrell and Kathryn Kizer Eagleton. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, W. Stewart Taylor, her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Chris Hickok, her son, David Taylor and his fiancee Jennifer Webster, her brother and sister-in-law, David and Susan Eagleton, and her grandchildren, Zachary and London Hickok. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at New Providence Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Dr. Emily Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church following the service. The interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Providence Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 703 W. Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37801 or the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, P. O.
