Janet Leona Linebaugh

December 15, 1935 — July 15, 2006

Janet Leona Bull Linebaugh age 70 of Maryville passed away peacefully at home July 15th, 2006 following a courageous battle with A.L.S. Janet was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Trenton High School in 1954. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Janet and Billy married at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska in September 1955. She enjoyed traveling with family throughout the U.S. and abroad, and she was an avid antique collector. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Lester Bull of Detroit, MI and mother, Mabel Edith Keyser of Alcoa, TN. Survivors include her loving husband, Col. Billy Sumpter Linebaugh of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Steven Stroupe of Knoxville; daughter, Mary Linebaugh of Atlanta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Penny Linebaugh of Maryville; grandchildren, Jamison Stroupe and fiancee Courtney Beal, Jeremy Stroupe of Knoxville, Whitney Linebaugh of Atlanta, GA, Danielle and Noah Linebaugh of Maryville; sisters, Doris Fariello and Patricia Guenther of Michigan; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Ralph Files of South Carolina; brother, Larry Hall of North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Hai Cooke of West Virginia; several cherished nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home to proceed to Holston College Cemetery for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service with Chaplain Ron Russell officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the A.L.S. Association, Tennessee Chapter, P.O. Box 40244 Nashville, TN 37204. The family wishes to thank the University of Tennessee Medical Center Home Care, Hospice Staff, and Physicians.
