James Walter Lane

James W. “Jimmy” Lane - went to be with the lord January 18, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. He was a retired Master Sgt. From the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He was a semi - pro golfer and trophy winner from 1952 to 1979. Mr. Lane was also retired Asst. Manager of Weigle’s Farm Stores on Kingston Pike after 14 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mildred Long Lane; brother, George Lane; sister, Charlotte Lenderman; nieces, Lisa Gray; Friend, Helen Enderson,, Survivors include daughter, Jami Lane; grandson, Connor James Lane, both of Maryville; daughter, Jeri Fitzgerald; Friend, Sue Davis, both of Tucson, AZ; brother, Fred Lane; sister, Betty Duncan; both of Maryville; many nieces , nephews much loved by uncle Jimmy. Be at peace , my beloved father your pain is gone now. Enjoy the beautiful golf courses in heaven, dad. There’s nothing stopping you now. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating. The interment will be 10:00 A.M.. Wednesday at Oakland Methodist Cemetery.
