James R. "Bob" Brown, Jr.

January 8, 1955 — April 28, 2022

James R. “Bob” Brown Jr. of Seymour, TN, passed away on April 28, 2022, suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 67.
Bob graduated from Everett High School and then served as a CCM electrician for Arconic (ALCOA).

Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Bob dearly loved his wife and three children and was a doting grandfather to his five grandchildren. Bob was happiest when surrounded by his loving family. He could often be found giving his grandchildren rides on the tractor, grilling delicious food for his family, or simply rocking on the porch, overlooking the mountains while the children played in the yard.

After retirement, Bob and Donna enjoyed traveling, and Bob developed his woodworking hobby. He built furniture, birdhouses, signs, and many other useful and creative items.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Brown and his mother, Anna Louise Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Donna, his children Angie Oates of Seymour, TN, Amy Henderson (Chris) of Knoxville, TN, and Matt Brown (Jami) of Maryville, TN. He had five grandchildren, Ruby Oates, Ella Henderson, Henry Lindenschmidt, Thomas Brown, and Dani Brown.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service in the pavilion at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, TN, on Saturday, May 7 at 1:00 pm.
