JEWELL, James Paul, age 88 of Alcoa, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2006, at 5:20 a.m. at UT Medical Center. He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Service Club. Jim was baptized on April 4, 1939, and a most faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa for 72 years. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1949 and served as Chairman of the Deacons from March 1972-October 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Jewell; brother, Ben Harold Jewell and loving wife of 56 years, Anna Merle Brown Jewell. Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Larry Sims of Pigeon Forge, Libby and Mike Huffstetler of Maryville; grandchildren, Amy Sims, Gary and Robbie Sims of Pigeon Forge and Matt and Natasha Huffstetler of Maryville; great grandchildren, Chelsea, Cassidy and Heather Sims of Pigeon Forge and Tyler Huffstetler of Maryville; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Danny Davis and Dr. Robert Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. Those who wish, may make memorials to Calvary Baptist Church, 100 S.
