MIZELL, James Linton, age 84 of Galion, Ohio, formerly of Loudon County, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at his home in Galion, after an extended illness. He was a graduate of Greenback High School and a graduate of Georgia Tech with an engineering degree. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U. S. Army Air Corps. Mr. Mizell was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Galion where he was an Elder and Clerk of Session and sang in the Church Choir. He was a member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post #243 in Galion, Ohio, where he was formerly 2nd Vice Commander, was a member of the Galion Moose Lodge #303 and previously was a Cub Scout Master in Galion. He was an electronic engineer having worked at the former North Electric Company in Galion for many years. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Charlie, Harold, Earl, Mack and Howard and one sister, Elizabeth. Survivors include: wife, Helen Louise Livesay Mizell of Galion, OH; daughter, Janice Mizell of Marion, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Denise Mizell of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Gabriella Mizell; sister, Louise Livesay of Marietta, GA. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hickory Valley Cemetery in Loudon County. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
