James L. Teffeteller, age 54 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at his home from a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a school bus owner/driver for Maryville City and Blount County Schools and a truck driver. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant son, James Teffeteller; parents, Edward and Thelma Louise (Spires) Teffeteller; grandparents, Oscar and Azalea Spires and Martin and Liddie Teffeteller; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda (Melton) and Frank Moore; aunt, Wilma (Spires) Rizzardi; uncle, John Taylor Spires; sister-in-law, Lois Jean Teffeteller. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sharon Teffeteller of Maryville; daughter, Cheryl Houser and husband Steve of Seymour; brother, Danny Teffeteller of Friendsville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Mildred Bales of Seymour; sister-in-law, Linda Welch and husband Bill of Seymour; uncles, Franklin Teffeteller of Maryville, Bill Teffeteller of Seymour and Ned Rizzardi and wife Lynda of Maryville; several nephews, nieces and cousins; his furry buddy, Cat. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for a memorial service with Dallas Gibson officiating.
