James H. Haggard

June 22, 1928 — May 2, 2008

HAGGARD, James Henry, age 79 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2008. James was a longtime and faithful member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He spent many years serving as a Shriner and made contributions to St. Jude Hospital. He retired from the City of Maryville. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Minnie Haggard; brother, Bill Haggard; sisters, Iva Lee Haggard, Margaret Teffeteller, Ruby Thomas, and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife, Mary Haggard; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Jim and Patty Haggard; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Fritz Specht; grandson and wife Larry and Nancy Johnson; granddaughter and husband, Rev. Josh and Kristi Glandon; granddaughter and husband, Nikki and Derrick Dirmeyer; great granddaughter, Hannah Glandon and baby to be. A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday at Mt. View Baptist Church with Rev. Harrison Hill and Rev. Jim Haggard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at Mt. View Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be given in his memory to Mountain View Baptist Church, 1320 Hunters Way Ct., Maryville, TN 37803.
