James Edward ''Jim'' Watkins

July 18, 1928 — June 29, 2004

James Edward “Jim” Watkins, age 75 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at his home. He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Watkins; parents, Chester L. and Bessie White Watkins; brother, Mark Watkins; sisters, Judy Hurst and Toni Long. Survivors include his wife, Martha Neel Watkins; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Elaine Watkins of Maryville; daughter, Becky Watkins of Alcoa; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Rick and Judy Bagwell of Louisville; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Karen and Tim Gibson and Melanie and Tommy Monday all of Louisville; stepdaughter, Debbie Lail of Louisville; grandchildren, Sara Wood, Ben Watkins, Ryan and Jeremy Watkins; one great grandchild, Briana Wood; step grandchildren, Heather and T. J. Gibson, Michael and Stormi Bagwell and Amber and Amy Monday; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Dottie Watkins of GA; sister and brother-in-law, Donarieta and Jim McBrayer of Maryville; sister, Shirley Hamby of GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sherwood Mausoleum for the entombment service. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. Grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Gene Moles, Richard Crowder, Jack Ingram, and Clifford Long. Donations may be made to the Local Chapter of the American Cancer Society or to the Baker-Carpenter Mission Fund at Broadway Baptist Church, Maryville.
