James Clay Mund, 18, peacefully passed away at home Friday August 25, 2017. He was in his mothers arms, with his father and sister holding his hands. Jimmy loved going fast in whatever he was riding - in cars, boats, or even his wheelchair. He loved water - rain, lakes, and the ocean. He loved school and church, but was not able to attend much the last few years. He loved watching veggie-tales videos. But most of all, he loved just being with his family, preferably sitting against or on top of one of us. Jimmy is now free of the chains of his disabilities, and has been made whole. Jimmy is preceded in death by his twin brother Gabriel Andrew Mund, grandparents Jim and Betty Mund, and Clay Parrott. Jimmy is survived by his parents Mike and Carla Mund, sister Olivia Mund, grandmother Shirley Parrott, aunts Lynda McConnell, Jenny Bennett, Theresa Rugenius, Laura Burton, Lisa Mund-Loose, and uncle Jeff Parrott. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 PM Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Fairview United Methodist Church and funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Mickey Rainwater officiating. A private interment will be held in Carpenters Cemetery. Donations in his memory would be appreciated to The Dream Connection (PO Box 10924, Knoxville, TN, 37939; www.dreamconnection.org) or to Samaritan Hands (PO Box 6016, Maryville, TN, 37802)
