James Calvin Henry, age 56 of Maryville, found greener pastures Thursday, December 18, 2008 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Hiawassee College and Lincoln Memorial University. For 26 years he was employed by Savage Saws. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul L. Henry. Survived by wife, Kimberly Kay Henry; mother, Geraldine J. Henry; daughter and son-in-law, Jama and Timothy Hurst; grandson, Gavin Hurst; sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Frank Bongiorno; nephew, Jean-Paul Ranwez; niece and spouse, Victoria and Darrell Patrick and great nephew, Brendan Patrick. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 20th, at 10:00 a.m. at New Providence Presbyterian Church in Maryville, TN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mane Support, a grief counseling ministry for children and adults. Mane Support, 2919 Davis Ford Road, Maryville, TN 37804. Calvin faced his battle with cancer with courage and faith and lived life to its fullest. He chose as his legacy a new non-profit initiative of Mane Support, Inc. – Triple C Ranch, a camp for children and families affected by cancer. Based at Vera Acres in Maryville, TN, the camp will offer day camps for children who have been diagnosed with cancer and their family members.
