James Burton Anderson

April 29, 1923 — August 9, 2007

James Burton Anderson - age 84 of Kingston, Oklahoma formerly of Maryville, TN passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Kingston. He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, retired from ALCOA with 36 years of service , a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Service Club, and proudly served in the U.S. Army earning a Purple Heart in the South Pacific during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavannah V. Anderson; parents, Pearlie Anderson and Elsie Mae Thompson Anderson, step-mother, Verna Anderson, brothers, Cledith Anderson and Clifford Anderson Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Ron Thomas of McDonough, GA, Carolyn J and Fred. Haenchen of Kingston, OK; Grandchildren, Lisa and Gary Maxwell, Derrick and Lisa Jones of McDonough, GA, Bill and Brooke Presnell of Canton, GA, Michael and Susan Presnell of Corpus Christie, TX; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Maxwell, Steven Maxwell, Gregory Jones, Forrest Presnell, Emily Presnell, and Tyler Presnell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Ruth Anderson of WI, Chester and Doris Anderson of Maryville; sisters, Mary Jane Rogers of Cartersville, GA, Nellie Mae Brown of Memphis, TN; sisters-in-law, Mary Lynn Anderson and Barbara Anderson both Maryville Funeral services will be 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Larry Bradley and Rev. Rob Hoffman officiating. The interment will be 11:00 am Thursday at Carpenters Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 982-6812
