James A. Creswell

James Creswell, 96, of Maryville, TN went to be the Lord on May 19, 2018. James was a loving, devoted husband, father, Papaw and Grand Papaw who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Jessie Mae. Survived by his sons, John Creswell of Maynardville, David Creswell and Debra, Steve Creswell and Janet of Maryville; Grandsons Brad and Renee Creswell, Eric Creswell and Renee of Maynardville, and James David (Chip) and Megan Creswell of Maryville; Great Grand daughters Ashley Underwood of Sour Lake, TX, Lauren Creswell of Houston, TX, Brandi Creswell, and Erica Creswell of Maynardville; Great great grandsons William and Alex Underwood of Sour Lake, TX; Brother Robert Creswell of Hixson, TN and sister Margaret Clevenger of Knoxville. James served in the US Army 82nd Airborne during WWII. He was a member of Logans Chapel United Methodist Church in Wildwood. He retired from Alcoa after 40+ years. He loved to fish and garden and share in the bounty of both. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Berry Highland South, located at 9010 E. Simpson Rd., Knoxville, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Charles D. Ledger officiating. The interment will follow in Berry Highland South cemetery.
