Jacob ''Jake'' Conner Thomas

THOMAS, Jacob “Jake” Conner, age 13 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, at East Tennessee Childrens Hospital. Jake has not left us; he just went to find a friend. Jake was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, a student at Maryville Intermediate School and a member of Maryville-Alcoa Flying Dolphins Swim Team. Survivors include his parents, Mark and Monica Matzek Thomas of Maryville; brother, Zach Thomas of Maryville; grandparents, Sol and Shirley Thomas of Lenoir City, Mike and Barbara Matzek of Maryville; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Pastors Larry and Brenda Carroll officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maryville First United Methodist Church Mission Endowment Fund, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
