Jackie Lewis McCollum, age 77 of Maryville, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Morning View Transitional Center. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her father, Banner Lewis; mother, Essie Herron; son, Sam McCollum, III; brother, James R. Lewis and nephew, Tommy Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Sam McCollum; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Phillip Benefield of Nashville and Becky Gibson and Eddie Pierce of Alcoa; grandchildren, Joseph and Grayson Fagan of Nashville; brothers, Bill (Penny) Lewis of Candler, NC, Harry (Alice) Lewis of Robbinsville, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret Lewis of Friendsville; former sister-in-law, Jeanette Lewis of Las Vegas, NV; nieces and nephews, Kay (Mike) Wade of Russellville, KY, Tom (Betty) Ferguson of Dothan, AL, Jean (Leo) Beaulieu of St. Johnsbury, VT, David (Karen) Ferguson of San Diego, CA, Dotty (Quayle Neslen) Parton of Sylva, NC; aunts, Mary (MT) Cartledge of Leesburg, FL, Evelyn Carson of Huntsville, AL; and a number of cousins, great nieces and great nephews. The interment service will be Friday in Magnolia Cemetery with a 2:00 p.m. memorial service to follow at New Providence Presbyterian Church with Rev. Philip Bembower and Rev. Joe Colquitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church following the service. Pall Bearers will be Eddie Eakin, Norman Jeffries, Marshall Lyons, Larry Meyers, John Schwartz, and Tom Walker. Memorials may be made to New Providence Presbyterian Church, 703 W.
