Jack P. Stanton

STANTON, Jack P., age 85 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Jack was employed with Delta Airlines for 42 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. A World War II veteran, he served with the U. S. 3rd Army, 61st Armored Infantry under General Patton. Fishing with his friends was a hobby but a delight with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Stanton of Maryville; daughter, Pamela Stanton Boyd Deen (John) of Norman, OK; son, Don Stanton (Debbie) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, David, Katie, Michael Deen and Logan Howell; sister, Shirley Stanton Graham of Moses Lake, WA; brother, Toby Stanton (Kay) of Meridian, MS; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. The body is to be cremated. The family will have a private service.
