WOODBY, Jack H., age 81 of Maryville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2005, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a Methodist and was a Sgt. with the U. S. Army, serving during World War II. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for 4 years, retired from the Maryville Police Department after 18 years of service and was a Mason in the Blue Lodge. Mr. Woodby was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Ousley Woodby; father, Arthur S. Woodby; mother, Lillie Mae Dockery Headrick; brother, Art Woodby; sister, Louise Townsend. Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Woodby and son-in-law, Tom Jackson of Reston, Va; sister-in-law, Ova Loveday of Maryville; nephews, C. A. Graves of Maryville, David Townsend of Canada, Dennis Townsend of Townsend, Art Woodby and Tim Woodby both of CA; nieces, Lora Jean Loveday, Laura Diehl both of Maryville, Pam Woodby of CA and Lynn Fritts of Maryville. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Jim Harless officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. The Maryville Police Department will serve as Pall Bearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice, 907 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Maryville, TN 37804 or to the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center, P. O.
