Jack D Sharp

Jack D. Sharp, age 85, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 27, 2018. He was born on February 25, 1933, to Robert and Grace Sharp. He graduated from Maryville High School and then served in the US Navy from 1952-1955. He married Martha Cobb on September 1, 1956. They have two daughters. He loved all sports, particularly Maryville High School football, Tennessee Vols football, and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and enjoyed selling real estate after retirement. Jack and Martha enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling to see the Vols play football. Jack was a long time pee-wee football coach and a little league baseball coach. Some of his favorite times were watching his grandchildren participate in various sports and activities. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Grace; brothers, Joe and Grant. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha of 61 years; daughters, Robin (Jerome) Karnowski, Janie (Darryll) Mills; grandchildren, Garrett (Sarah) Karnowski, Adam Karnowski, Emily Mills, and Natalie Mills; twin brother, Mack (Betty)Sharp; sister, Sue Bingham (special friend Kenneth Belcher), and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2018, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will reassemble at Bakers Creek Cemetery for a graveside service with Darryll Mills officiating
