J. Edward Taylor

Edward Taylor - age 84 of Maryville, born September 10, 1921 in Copperhill, TN and grew up in Ducktown TN passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of Ducktown Lodge # 241, Director of Pharmacy at Blount Memorial Hospital until his retirement, President of the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy, and served on the Blount County Commission for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lynn Kizer Taylor; parents, Julius E. And Myrtle Horner Taylor; stepmother, Beunah Witt Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Louise Taylor; brothers in law, Ben Kizer, Bob Kizer, and Gordon Thomas. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Lynn and Jim Norman, Jan and Tom Morgan; daughter, Pamela Taylor; grandchildren, Joel Norman and wife Annette, David Norman and Emily Morgan; great-granddaughter, Lindsay Taylor Norman; devoted companion, Kathleen Farmer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Aletha and Glenn Field of Colorado, Marguerite and Charles Abernathy of Georgia, Josephine and Bill Threlkeld of Memphis; sisters-in-law, Jane Thomas, Barbara Kizer, and Daphne Kizer; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Larry Carroll officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Maryville City Schools Foundation 833 Lawrence Ave. Maryville, TN 37803.
