Imogene Loveday

Imogene Talbott Loveday (Boots), age 92, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Williamsburg Villas in Knoxville, TN after battling Alzheimer’s disease. Boots was preceded in death by husband John L. Loveday (66 yrs.), father and mother W.H. & Imogene Talbott, sisters: Margaret Simerly, Mable Coulter Broyles, Anna Lee Loveday; and brothers, Gordon Clayton and Ray Talbott.

Boots retired from the Blount County Courthouse where she worked in the Register of Deeds office for 28 years. She enjoyed entertaining, and her home was always open to family and friends. Boots had a great sense of humor and she loved playing tricks on everyone.

Boots is survived by son Steve, wife Janice, grandchildren: Brian, Nathan, and Courtney; and great-grandchildren: Lexi, Lauren, and Will. Also, sister in law Dot Talbott, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with the Pastor Magan Stubblefield and Rev. Rex Rogers officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Middlesettlements United Methodist Cemetery.
