Imogene Cupp Roberts

Imogene Cupp Roberts of Alcoa, born August 3, 1923, passed away March 31, 2016. Her joys in life were her family, extended family and friends, her church, flowers and gardening. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church. Imogene was a Teacher's Aide at Mountain View Elementary and Alcoa Elementary School for many years and she enjoyed working with the staffs at both schools and especially the interaction with the children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lanty M. Roberts; parents, H. and Lettie Gibson Cupp; siblings, Margaret Mae, Roy, Lois, Beulah Miller, Ruth Leonard, Anna Belle Adkins, Mabel Simms, Hubert Cupp, Henry (Jr.) Cupp, Eugene Cupp, Marvin Cupp, Mary Sue Cupp and Martha Lou Ramsey. She is survived by her loving children, Phil (Peggy) Roberts, Ken Roberts, Jenean (Ed) Roach and Sheila (Jack) Turregano; granddaughters, Sydney and Peyton Turregano and Audrey and Savannah Roach; sister-in-law, Bobbie Cupp (Henry) and many many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Alcoa First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ty Harrison and Rev. Crystal Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-4:00 p.m. at the Church.
