MCGHEE, Ida Elizabeth Everett, age 96 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005, at her home. She was a life long member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Maryville, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and retired from ALCOA as a secretary in the Metallurgical Department after 43 years of service. Miss Ida enjoyed gardening and raising her three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil S. McGhee; grandson, Bobby McGhee; brothers, Calvin Everett and Homer Everett; sisters, Beatrice Stillwell and Irene Long. Survivors include her daughter, Norma McGhee; grandson, Russell McGhee; granddaughter, Alicia McGhee Pope; great grandchildren, Ryan Scott McGhee and Judith “DeeDee” Stephens; great great grandchild, Johnathan Payne; sister, Rose (Mrs. Cotton) Cate; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Longmire officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
