Hu L. “Buddy” Blazer

Maryville, TN – Hu L Blazer, age 79, of Maryville Tenn died Sunday December 8, 2024, at Blount Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Maryville September 25,1945 to the late C. L. “Toots” and Jean Blazer.

Survivors include his sister Jill Rollins Maryville TN, brother Winston Blazer of Knoxville TN, Sister-in-law Cris Blazer Knoxville TN, niece Katherine Blazer Maryville TN, nephew Brady Isbill of Knoxville. 

Buddy was a graduate of Maryville High School and also graduated from University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in accounting. He proudly served our country in the US Army 101 Airborne in Vietnam in 1968-69. He went on to serve 25 years in the Tennessee National Guard obtaining the rank of Colonel and served in Gulf War in 1991. 

Services will be at 10:00 Wednesday December 18 at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy Knoxville, TN.
