Homer ''Ted'' Murphy

February 12, 1954 — April 16, 2012

Homer “Ted” Murphy, age 58 of Knoxville, died from liver cancer on Monday, April 16, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Stan Murphy; brother, Grady Gayle Murphy; sisters, Betty Cash and Ann Strickland. He is survived by his sons, Mike Murphy and wife DeeDee, Jeff Murphy and wife Heather; grandchildren, Micah, Gage, and Tate Murphy; brothers, Ira Murphy and wife Ethel, John Murphy and wife Nancy, Bob Murphy and wife Gail, Wade Murphy and wife Norrine; sisters, Ida Christian and husband Roy, Debbie O’Neal; special friends, Albert McClain, Ernie Randolph and Karen Henson. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Ogle officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Laurel Bank Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends may also call at the home of John Murphy, 2943 Barkshed Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
