Homer Ray Russell

January 28, 1923 — January 21, 2007

RUSSELL, Homer Ray, age 84 of Maryville, passed away suddenly January 21, 2007, at MorningView Village, Maryville. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He retired from the electrical department of the Aluminum Company Of American after 44 years of service, and was a long time member of Springview Baptist Church, Maryville. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Edna Ruth Moore Russell; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar and Mary of Cape Canaveral, FL, Lynn and Bonnie, Jim and Ernestine, of Maryville; grandchildren, Mary Ruth, Matthew, Jonathan, Timothy, Jason, and Mark; great grandchildren, Kaleb Russell and Konner Sweet. He is also survived by three sisters, Ruth Humphries, Joyce Bartley and Roma Paige. He was a loving husband, dedicated father, devoted grandfather, and faithful friend. Heartfelt thanks for the love and care he received from the staff and residents of Morningview Village. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 8:15 p.m. with Rev. Guy Milam officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service. Memorial donations may be made to Springview Baptist Church, 4220 U. S.
