Hilda Katharina Dorsam Stoutt

Hilda Katharina Dorsam Stoutt, age 93, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Kindred of Maryville. Hilda is a member of Fairview United Methodist Church of Maryville. Hilda was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on September 3, 1922, to the late Ambros and Margarete Dorsam. It was in Heidelberg where she met and married her husband of 68 years, Paul Kenneth Stoutt, who fought in the European Theatre of World War II. Hilda was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Sue Stoutt Marshall, and her grandson-in-law, Jeffrey Byrd, as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her husband, Paul Kenneth Stoutt; daughter, Melitta Stoutt; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Lucy Stoutt; granddaughter, Tina Louise Byrd; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Rose Byrd; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Stoutt and Joni Stoutt Gary; brother-in-law, Bill Haney. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends. The family wishes to give special thanks to the medical staff and workers at Kindred of Maryville and Amedisys Hospice Services. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mickey Rainwater officiating. The interment will follow at Cloverhill United Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Maryville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, 2508 Old Niles Ferry Road, Maryville, TN 37803, or to a hospice program of your choice.
