Herman Keith Mcdaniel

Loyal and faithful follower of Jesus Christ went to his eternal home Thursday, Aug. 31st surrounded by his loving family. Keith was devoted to his family and demonstrated deep care throughout his life. A native of Blount County, he set out for a promise land up north that was filled with gold dust. As a northern migrant he helped to shape the automotive tire industry. As he raised a family, they found themselves residing in states as far east as Virginia and as far west as Texas. He was delighted by the opportunity to return home to Friendsville in the summer of 66 - where you could often find him tilling the soil and eating delicious muscadines. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Carl Bolton; sons and daughter-in-laws, Steve and Vicki McDaniel, Rick and Beth McDaniel; 9 grandchildren, Kim McDaniel, Ryan and wife Katie McDaniel, Morgan McDaniel, Katie Householder, Kara and husband Lynn Caldwell, Emilie and husband Chris Yeager, Rachel Dixon, Izaak Standridge, Josiah and wife Mandy Standridge; 12 great grandchildren, Lucy McDaniel, Luke, Kassidy, and Eli Householder, Victoria, Taylor, and Caleb Caldwell, Molly and Nora Grace Yeager, Lela Belle, Solomon, and Amelia Dixon. Sisters-in-law Wanda Kerr Jackson, Betty Kerr Burchfield, and Sandra Kerr, and brother-in-law Mayford and wife Judy Kerr. In addition to several cousins, nieces, and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 oclock on Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville, TN with internment service to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his home church- West Maryville Baptist Church, 810 W.
