MEREDITH, Hemple P., passed away Friday, June 8, 2007, at Heritage Center in Morristown. Hemple was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church for 58 years and active in its ministries before failing health. She is survived by daughter, Jeanne Carter and son-in-law, Rev. James Carter; son, Robert Meredith and daughter-in-law, Patty Meredith; grandchildren, Matthew Lee Carter and wife Paula, 2nd Lt. Emily Jeanne Meredith, Wesley Daniel Meredith and Ian William Meredith; great grandchildren, Bryce Thomas Carter and Haley Brooke Carter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Green officiating. Family and friends will reassemble at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alcoa First United Methodist Church Building Fund in her memory, 617 Gilbert Street, Alcoa, TN 37701.
