Helen Susong Brown

June 25, 1925 — September 29, 2015

Helen Susong Brown passed away at Tennova Residential Hospice September 29 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas H. Brown, her brother D.E. Susong and her parents, Margaret and David Susong of Greenville, TN. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, Nana, friend and an inspiration to all who knew her. She graduated from ETSU with a degree in Home Economics and married the love of her life, Tom Brown, in 1944. She is survived by sister Becky Susong Thompson and husband Wayne; brothers Bob Susong and wife Emma Francis, Kenneth Susong and wife Jean; sons, Thomas and wife Gerry Rayfield Brown, Robert and wife Donna Dobson Brown, James Brown, and daughter, Becca Brown Montgomery; her grandchildren, Ashley Montgomery Blamey and husband Tom, Kevin Brown and wife Holley, Carrie Brown Wicks and husband Brad, Lauren and Karen Brown; great grandchildren, Pippa, Tilly and Locke Blamey, Handley, Annie and Truett Brown and Grady Wicks. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 pm Friday, October 2, at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for an entombment service with David Nuchols officiating.
