Helen Rhyne Russell Roach

ROACH, Helen Rhyne Russell, age 75 of Maryville, went home to join her precious Savior on April 18, 2007, at her daughter’s home in Talbott, TN, after a long battle with cancer. At the age of 13, she joined Williamson Chapel Church and in 1968 joined Holts Missionary Baptist Church in Morristown. She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Roach and Sam Russell, a wonderful son, Gary Dale Russell; parents, Carnel and Eva Rhyne; brother Jack and infant sisters, Velma, Virgie and Margaret. Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Ken and Madonna Slaven of Maryville, Danny and Penny Jent of Talbott; daughter, Denise Russell of Luttrell; granddaughter, Spring Teasley and husband Antoine of Morristown; grandsons, Travis Roach of Maryville, Rob Southerland and April of Morristown; great grandchildren, Ian Southerland of Morristown, Peyton, Hunter and Brooklyn Roach of Maryville; step great grandchildren, Wade and Haley Brooks; sisters, Odell Gardner, Verna B. McDonell of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Rhyne and W. D. and Betty Jo Rhyne of Maryville. The family would like to thank Covenant Home Care and Hospice for the excellent care they provided for their mother. Special thanks to Julia, Gina, Maggie, and Ernie. Special thanks also to Dr. Bell and Dr. Panella and staff at U. T. Cancer Center. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville, TN, with service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Hubert Bunch, Rev. Alvin Patton, and Chaplain Ernie Coleman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Williamson Chapel Church Cemetery for the interment service.
