May 27, 1915 — April 24, 2015

Helen Peters Hall, one of Blount County's longest living residents passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 24, 2015. Just 4 weeks shy of her 100th birthday, Helen Peters Hall was a beautiful and vibrant lady who enjoyed life to the fullest. Blessed with a healthy mind and body, she was a true joy to all who knew her. Born on May 27, 1915 to Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Peters, Helen was raised on a farm in Blount County where she remained until her passing. She had a sweet spirit and a kind heart with a strong passion for family . She retired from Levi Strauss and Company and was a past member and former officer of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed farming, gardening, cooking and sewing, but her greatest joy was nurturing her family. Her radiant blue eyes and sweet smile conveyed her compassionate love for all and will be greatly missed. Helen was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Hall, infant daughter Barbara Jane Hall, parents C.O. Peters and Florence Henry Peters, brothers Walter Peters and Arthur Peters and daughter-in-law Judy Hall. She was very proud of and deeply loved her two sons and their families: Jerry Edward Hall and wife Norma, Robert Peters Hall and wife Kathy; grandchildren Jay Edward Hall and wife Rachel, Jill Hall Ridings and husband Andrew, Robert Taylor Hall and wife Sally, Katherine Blaire Hall; great grandchildren Ruth Ann Hall and John Daniel Ridings; sisters-in-law Betty Cabe Carroll and Bonnie Hall Batton; brother-in-law Parks Hall; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Helen's special care givers for their kindness, comfort and companionship.
