COOK, Helen Lawhorn, age 88, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 13, 2005, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam R. Cook; granddaughter, Redia Cook; parents, Frank and Gertrude Lawhorn; brothers, Fred and Carl Lawhorn; sisters, Johnnie Delaney, Thelma Lakey, Bertha Lawhorn; mother-in-law, Mary Cook; brother-in-law, Fred Cook; special nephew, Eddie McDaniel. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, James and Thresea Cook; sister, Esther Cook; brother, Ed Lawhorn; grandchildren, Tina Cook, Susie and Curt Clem; great grandchildren, Jamie Boring, Amy Boring; nieces and nephews, Linda Cook, Dorothy Davis, Chris and Bob VanDyke, Faye McDaniel, Fred R. Cook, Ella and Kenny Herron, Freda and Steve Hamby, Jerry and Edna Cook; great nieces and great nephews, Joney Crowder and Aaron, Jerry Cook, Jr., Steven Hamby and Connie, Sarah Hamby, Taylor Herron; great great niece and great great nephew, Wesley and April Crowder; brothers-in-law, Bob and Everett Cook; sisters-in-law, Pearl Breeden and Mildred Scarbrough. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Phil Groos officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at West Emory Cemetery in Knoxville for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family for funeral expenses.
