Helen Glaze Kerr

KERR, Helen Glaze, age 94 of Maryville, passed away Monday, April 21, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Until recent years, she resided in Greenback and was a member of Greenback First Presbyterian Church. She was born in 1908 to the Rev. D. M. Kerr and Lurah Glaze Kerr. Rev. Kerr was pastor of Greenback First Presbyterian Church for many years. Following graduation from Tennessee-Wesleyan College, she taught in Greenback Elementary School for approximately 40 years and was highly respected as a teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents; three half-brothers and seven half-sisters. She is survived by nieces and nephews, John A. Kerr, Lillian Kerr Beals, Frank L. Kerr, Jr., James D. Kerr, Elizabeth Kerr Rike, David B. Kerr, Betty Patton Barbour; special cousin, Ella Mae Fipps. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bell and Rev. Warren Mounts officiating. The interment will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
