Hazel Cox Kidd

Hazel Cox Kidd , age 72 of Campbell County, went to be with the Lord March 6, 2011. She was born September 10, 1938 in Jellico to Earnest and Ruth Cox. She graduated from the University of Tennessee. She taught school in Gatlinburg and Knoxville Business College. She was a member of Saint John United Methodist Church where she was very active. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Tom Kidd; daughter, Lori Kidd of Knoxville, daughter, Lisa and husband Phillip Plemons of Maryville; grandchildren, Brady and Priscilla; sisters, Jean Thomason of Bristol and Julia and husband J.C. Ausmus of LaFollette; brother, Paul Cox and wife Sue of Pioneer; sister-in-law, Betty Jo and husband W.D. Rhyne; brother-in-law, Clyde Kidd all of Maryville; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow in Centenary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to local charitable organizations.
