Hattie Ruth Goddard Cochran

Ruth G. Cochran, age 93 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Wellington Place. She had been a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church since 1939, was retired from ALCOA after 38 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Service Club. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, A. E. (Doc) Cloninger and 2nd husband, Clinton L. Cochran and parents, Walter L. and Hattie McCall Goddard; sisters, Louise Goddard Hightower and Martha Goddard Hamilton; brothers, Walter Goddard and Boyd Goddard. Survivors include her step sons and step daughters-in-law, Clinton L. (Buddy) and Tyra Cochran of Huntsville, AL, and Bill and Karren Cochran of Maryville; step daughter, Trudy Helms of Maryville; 7 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; nieces, Gwen Welch of Wenatchee, WA, Nancy Fitzpatric of Knoxville, TN and Marty Hamilton of Jefferson City, TN; nephews, Wes Hightower, Tommy Hamilton both of Knoxville, TN, W. James Goddard of Vonore, TN, Bobby Hamilton of Columbus, OH, Phil Hamilton of Maryville, TN and Steven Hamilton of Deland, FL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Sunday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
