Harvey Eugene Whitehead Gene, 66, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.Gene was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Robert Shaw/Fulton Bellows LLC. Gene loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, working in his garden, and he was always quick to help his neighbors, family, and friends with anything they needed. When anyone needed help fixing anything, they all said, Call Gene. Preceded in death by wife Elaine Buntin Whitehead: parents Victor and Mauda Whitehead, brother Vernon Whitehead. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Tina and Bryon Haun, grandchildren Sam, Olivia, and Elizabeth Haun, sister Betty Jo (David) Pesterfield, brothers Ivan (Karen) Whitehead, Wendell (Brenda) Whitehead, David (Judy) Whitehead, and Bob (Cheryl) Whitehead, sister-in-law Rosemary Whitehead, several nieces and nephews, extended family members and many good friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Parker officiating. The interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your charity of choice.
