HAROLD “PAPAW†WHITE PRATER - age 90, of Prater Flats in Louisville, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012, at UT Hospital, Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by parents, Samuel F. and Irene White Prater; brother, Ben H Prater; sister, Virginia Prater Egerman; sister, Lisbeth White Prater Campbell and nephew, Paul Willett. Survived by wife of 56 years, Katherine Kinnamon Prater, son Steve, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ed, grandson, Dustin, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Lori, grandsons, Randall and Jesse and special friend, Mary Williams. Sister, Lind Prater Willett of Kingsport, brother, Robert E. Prater and wife, Evelyn, nieces, nephews and the Jaringan cousins. Harold, was a lifelong farmer, member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, and CO-OP board member. He was blessed with a good memory and known for his many pranks. Pallbearers the three grandsons and Honorary Pallbearers, Dr. Dwight Willett, Dr. David Willett, Greg “James†Prater, Dewayne Easter, Mitch Prater, Ed Langer, Ben H. Prater, Jr. Celebration of his life will be 2:00-2:30 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel, 220 West Broadway, Maryville, TN 37801 with Rev. Becky Smithey followed by graveside gathering at Holston College Cemetery, on Holston College Road in Louisville.
