Tipton, Harold Neal age 79 of Lithia, FL., passed away Friday February 15, 2002 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born in Cottonwood, TX on June 12, 1922.He later attended Maryville High School and received a degree in architecture while in the Navy. He retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and a veteran of Pearl Harbor. After retirement from the Navy, he returned home and went into business with his father M.A. Tipton and became cofounder of Tipton Reynolds Construction Company. This company was involved in building for Maryville College, The University of Tennessee, and several churches in the Blount and Knox County area. After moving to Florida in 1983, he remained active in the construction business until his death. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. M.A. Tipton, sons Bruce Wayne and Richard Lane Tipton. He is survived by his wife Danette J. Tipton and children Crystal T. Garland, Sonia T. Law, Scarlett Tipton and son Sunny Curtiss, sisters Neva T. Shirley and Betty T. Smith of Maryville. Funeral services will be 7:30 Tuesday evening at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel With Rev. Ronnie Hepperl officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 Tuesday evening and the interment will be 11:00 Wednesday morning at Grandview Cemetery. www.mccammonammonsclick.com
