Harold Eugene Caldwell, age 85, from Seymour, Tennessee passed from this life on October 4, 2016. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Betty Rhea (Roberts) Caldwell; sons, Carson and wife Laura, Brian and wife Diana, Brett and wife Melissa; daughter, Karen (Caldwell) Brewer and husband Darrell; grandchildren Misty, Wendy, Derek, Courtney, Katie, Corey, Sarah, Kaitlynn, Ashlynn, Natasha, Alex, and Anthony; brothers Jim, Donnie, and the late Robert and Bill Caldwell; sisters Reba Bible, Helen Beasley, Faye Estes, and the late Evelyn Headrick. Born and raised in Maryville, the son of Carson Elmer and Jettie Proxie Caldwell spent his early years working on the family farm and in the community. He later served during the Korean War in the United States Army Signal Corps in Europe. Afterwards, returning to East Tennessee, Harold entered the workforce retiring from Harrison's Construction Company in 1995. During his life, Harold was an avid craftsman. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing his guitar with family and friends, as well as traveling with his wife. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Crisp officiating. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee on Saturday, October 8, at 11 a.m. Procession will begin at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home at 10:40 a.m. arriving at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 11 a.m.
