Harold B. Dotson Harold joined his heavenly father on August 31, 2017, at the age of 87. Harold was born on December 24, 1929 in Meiggs County to Luke and Iva Lee King Dotson. He graduated from Greenback High School May, 1949. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served from 1945-49. He was on a Naval ship 25 miles out from Japan when the bomb dropped. He was a member of Greenback Memorial Baptist Church, retired from ALCOA after 34 years of service, was a lifetime member of Greenback Rescue Squad, where he served as a Chaplain and was a member of Masonic Lodge #691. He loved his family, neighbors, farming plus sitting under his shade trees. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Iva Lee King Dotson; brother, Cecil E. Dotson; sister, Mildred Dotson Evans. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Wanda Ruth Giffin Dotson; son, Bobby Dotson, Sr. (Brenda) and Brian Dotson, Jr. (Breanna); grandchildren, Bobby, Jr. (April) and Brian, Sr. (April); great grandchildren, Steven, Danielle, Kaitlyn and Austin; 7 great great grandchildren; brothers, James Dotson of Alabama, Joe Dotson and Kenneth Dotson both of Greenback; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Clarence Sexton and Rev. Lon Shockley officiating. The interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
