Gwendolyn Kidwell Dawson

DAWSON, Gwendolyn R. Kidwell, age 88 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, was retired from the U. S. Federal Government after 25 years of service and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Major Hubert H. Kidwell and second husband, Dr. William Dawson. Survivors include: stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Joe and Sue Dawson of Maryville and Dr. William Jr. and Gail Dawson of Reno, Nevada; step grandchildren, David Dawson and Caroline Dawson; cousin and husband, Janet and Marvin Southerlan of Phoenix, AZ. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. James R. Green officiating. A memorial service will be held at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at Asbury Acres with Rev. Robert Hayes officiating.
