Glenna Stubley Lindsay

October 29, 1922 — July 20, 2005

LINDSAY, GLENNA STUBLEY, age 82 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2005. She was born October 29, 1922, to the late Glenn and Glenna Stubley of Knoxville. After attending Knoxville High School, she graduated from the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Glenna was married to the late architect Charles Lindsay and raised her family in Maryville. She was a sweet and gentle spirit, and her resume is written in the lives of her family, her friends, and her children. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robinson Stubley, and sisters, Harriet Stubley and Martha Pace. She is survived by her five children, Glenn Lindsay and wife Angela of Knoxville, Leonard Lindsay of Nashville, Carolyn Hill and husband George of Knoxville, Richard Lindsay of Knoxville, and Charles Lindsay and wife Teresa of Bradenton, FL, as well as eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and her sisters Vivian Domm of Knoxville, Kathryn Dance of Woodstock, GA., Sue Rowan of Huntsville, AL, and Carolyn Briggs Keller of Knoxville. Graveside services will be held at Grandview Cementary, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville,TN at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 24. A memorial service will be held the same day at 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Maryville. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 314 Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37801, or to Bible Study Fellowship International, 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258-4019.
