CUNNINGHAM, GLENN TAYLOR, age 90 of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2004. He was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church of Maryville, was a retired insurance agency owner, enjoyed woodworking and raising horses. He served his country with honor in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He was a Mason and a member of the Civitan Club and received many awards for his accomplishments in the insurance industry. Preceded in death by his parents, William F. Cunningham and Rosa Brewer Cunningham; brothers, Charles F. Cunningham, Frank Cunningham, and William B. Cunningham; sisters, Mildred Lampley and Myrtle Abernethy. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Norma Shields Cunningham of Maryville and sons-in-daughters-in-law, Jerry and Janis Cunningham of Walland, Tennessee and Larry and Sarah Cunningham of Decatur, Illinois; grandchildren, Rachel and Scott Garretson, Kirk and Tammie Cunningham, Jeffrey T. Cunningham, Brett S. Cunningham, and Julie and Jason Barton; great grandchildren, Zachary, Bailey and Molly Garretson, and Kyle and Katie Cunningham; brother, Joseph L. Cunningham, and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many, many friends. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church in Maryville, Tennessee on Friday, February 13, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with the service to follow thereafter. Pastors Brenda Carroll and Larry Carroll will officiate. Special music will be provided by Terry D. Wilson, Dwain Pesterfield, Susan Colclough, and the First United Methodist Choir. The family and friends will meet at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville on Saturday, February 14, 2004, to go in procession for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service at Grandview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kirk T. Cunningham, Brett S. Cunningham, Jeffrey T. Cunningham, Joseph L. Cunningham, Jason Barton, Scott Garretson, Willard Abbott, Rex Davis, Calvin Parton and Ray “Bucky” Colclough. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Wesley-Mitchell Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church.
