Glenn Lee “Casey†Jones, age 93 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010, at U. T. Medical Center. He was a World War II U. S. Army veteran serving in North Africa and Italy, a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, a former Vice President of The Bank of Maryville, worked 18 wonderful years at Lambert Acres Golf Course, was an avid golfer, hiker, gardener, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Ellis Jones; parents, John Houston and Cora Giffin Jones. Survivors include his daughters, Judy Jones Brownlie and husband Rick, Susan Jones Best and husband, Michael; grandchildren, David Ballard, Jr. and wife Beth, Steve Ballard, Taylor, Andrew and Caroline Best; great grandchildren, David III, Eli, and Grace Ann Ballard; sister-in-law, Mary Ellis Beal; brother-in-law, John Ellis and wife Ruth; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Medical Fitness at Blount Memorial Hospital, Blount Memorial E.R. and U. T. Medical Center E.R.; special neighbors, Mike and Lou Campbell and children, Elizabeth and Matthew. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brenda and Larry Carroll officiating. Family and friends will meet at 8:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for the entombment service. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
