Gladys P. Key

KEY, Gladys P., age 84 of Maryville, departed this life on May 25, 2006, at her residence. She was born in Ellijay, GA in 1922; however, she had resided in Blount County since 1941. She retired from the Maryville City School System and was a faithful member of Armona Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clyde E. Key, and three brothers, Walter, Floyd, and Paul Legg. She is survived by sons, James E. and daughter-in-law, Kay of Big Stone Gap, VA and Harold L. of the home; granddaughters, Angelic (Capi) Wampler of Asheville, NC and Chantay Proulex of Wise, VA along with their families. Great granddaughter, Grayson Proulex, brought her many moments of pleasure. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert “Bob” Lawson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
